Disappointed with this Airbnb. Dirt, dust & spider webs through out this home. Carpets were filthy and windows/headboards covered in spiders and webs. There were towels in the dryer upon arrival, the furniture has a musty smell & sticky feel, pet hair all over the floor, the ice maker was broken/frozen (we fixed), the exterior dryer vent was clogged & things weren’t drying (we fixed, fire hazard), & the front storm door wouldn’t seal well. Several lamps flickered & wobbly switches, lower bedroom handle almost fell off(we fixed), front porch was covered in leaves & spider web making it unusable. Finally, 8 months ago when we were initially asking about details, we messaged Brian & referred to 489 S Lakeshore but he never corrected us that it wasn't that property. The previous renters had similar comments but it was too late for us We Love the area but this unit has serious cleanliness & mechanical issues Clearly the cleaning crew needs oversight & on-site inspections by people

We were very happy with the house location and setup as far as beds/bathrooms/space. The downstairs couch was covered in pet hair. While we have pets, but did not travel with ours, I prefer not to find pet hair on the seating. Our son's comforter had a dried white substance we could not identify the first night, so we washed it before bed. There was some hair in the shower drains. This is my frustration with properties managed by companies rather than people. We had one issue with a door and Brian promptly and respectfully sent someone to fix it. We ran out of paper towels (beginning with 1/4 roll) and there was none to replenish. The loop is a perfect location and close to the lake/walking path. They have a hummingbird and bird feeder and we loved the porch. There was an old pair of boxers in the wooden box next to one of the beds. My husband disposed of it so our son didn't have to sleep next to them. Spoons, jewelry, water bottle, and baseball under another bed. Toilets backflow.

This stay was perfect! We spent a lot of time on the wrap around porch rocking and listening to the creek sounds. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals and there were plenty of supplies provided to get our trip started. Super cozy top level for hanging out and loved the open concept with fireplace. The pictures do not do this place justice! Our teenager loved having his separate space downstairs. The downstairs space has super comfy couches and a nice TV for movie nights. The location was great.. nice to be tucked away up in the mountains but close to great restaurants and hikes. Don’t let the drive times deter you as we spent a good amount of time traveling the blue ridge parkway to get to lookouts/hikes and it’s just a beautiful drive every time! Highly recommend the trip there devil’s courthouse and the hike up to see an amazing view and Waterrock Knob to catch a sunset. We are already planning our next trip up and have definitely found a new go to place!

We absolutely adored our stay in Waynesville! What an incredible view to wake up to each morning! It was perfect for our mother/daughter trip! We loved how easy it was to access the walking path around the lake as well. I don’t think there is a single thing we would change. Everything was spotless, the bed was SUPER comfy in both of our opinions. (That is hard to come by LOL.) Brian was an excellent host and was always very quick to respond to any questions we had. Loved this place! Very clean, shady, and peaceful. Firm mattress which is our preference, so we got great sleep. Absolutely loved the bike and walking trails! Host (Brian) was friendly and always responsive to my questions. Our only wish would be for a little more sunshine at the pool. Some shade is nice and we loved how shaded the trails and surroundings were especially in July heat, but one small open area for sunbathing at the pool would have been nice. Brian is an excellent host. He responds expediously to any concerns and makes ur stay feel like his priority. His unit has everything u would need for a comfortable vacation. If u like tennis or pickleball, u can pay for clinics or private lessons at the Amelia Racket Club which is steps away from the unit. I played every morning and met some wonderful guest on vacation. The apartment was smaller than I expected after seeing the pictures but it is thoughtfully laid out and demonstrates a good use of space. The bed was firm but comfortable and there was a good stream of hot water for nice, soothing showers. At times there was noise from the home above. The view of the mountains in the distance and the lake just below you is stunning! Unfortunately, just across that short expanse of lake , which is only a few hundred yards wide, is a 4 lane road with a constant flow of traffic. So, road noise was always audible in the background and, at night, headlights coming at you were always visible when you sat on the outside patio after dark. That being said, the apartment served my purposes well since it was within easy walking distance of a week long Tai Chi conference I was attending. So, in the end, even though it was not quite the relaxing mountain experience I had hoped for, I did receive the one thing that was most important to me. Convenience of location.

This was absolutely the cutest, picturesque, peaceful getaway!! There was a BROAD view of the lake AND mountains that beckoned you to “sit and stay” a while, a little table and chairs on the patio for enjoying coffee and watching the chipmunks, birds and the swans gracefully swimming in the lake!! You step inside to the living area with sofa and chairs and a breakfast table with a large window, as well as double doors with windows that provide the same viewing from inside if that is the preference. Beyond is a bed with kitchen area and bathroom with walk-in shower — everything essential in a compact but comfortable space. A small restaurant within walking distance on site offers a variety of delicious crepes, sandwiches, ice cream, etc. And there is a comfortable walking track around the 200-acre lake with amazing vistas of the lovely homes, manicured grounds and breathtaking gardens and flowers!! Just a spectacular place and broad selection of activities.

This place was great. Clean, great view, and great customer service from the owner. It is part of the house above but we barely heard anything while there. It was a very peaceful place to stay. This was our first time to the area and this villa was a perfect location and size for us. The resort itself is lovely and so well maintained and manicured. Brian’s place is set back in such a quiet and peaceful setting yet has all the convenience of being a part of a larger resort. The villa itself is very comfortable and clean and very well stocked. My boyfriend & I came here to celebrate his birthday and go snowboarding at the ski resort. We really enjoyed ourselves here, it felt like home. It snowed so much and it was so beautiful to see the lake covered in snow. We ended up having to park down in the parking lot otherwise we’d be snowed in haha! Overall great experience I would come again! The only thing is the water in the shower didn’t stay warm long enough but I’m sure the weather contributed to that. Thank you for having us!

The place is cozy and comfortable, free of clutter, beautifully decorated, and well equipped with kitchenware. The pool is right out the door and the tennis courts are very close. Nice walking and bike paths all around the area. The Omni Resort is a few minute drive or a quick bike ride away. The place is actually within the Omni Resort gated area. I highly recommend this place! Brian was very committed to making sure we had a great stay. He checked in with me prior to check in, once I got settled and before checkout. We had no issues but I am confident that if a guest ever did have an issue, Brian would be on it right away. I know this because he made sure we were happy after check in and made sure to say if we had any problem at all, let him know. We would 100 percent book this place again.

Downtown Waynesville with many shops and restaurants was within a 10-15 minute drive, as well as great grocery store options. Access to the Blue Ridge Parkway was nearby as well and the highlight of our stay. With a modern, spacious layout, 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, and a full sized kitchen and dining room, this was one of the best AirBnb's we have stayed. We will surely book this home again!

This was our first visit to Lake Junaluska. The house was situated on a lovely no thru street with the entrance to the Native Plant Garden a few houses away. The Lake was also a very short walk and has a walking trail that goes all the way around. It was a perfect morning walk. The house was exactly as pictured, historic in nature but with upgraded, modern kitchen and baths. The whole area was very peaceful and relaxing. Waynesville’s historic downtown is only about 10 mins away and has many great restaurants, coffee houses, and breweries if you want to step out of the serenity of the Lake neighborhood. The other valley towns of Magggie Valley, Cherokee, Bryson City, and Sylva are an easy drive for further exploration. If you’re a hiker, there is a Blue Ridge Parkway entrance a short distance down the road and many great nearby hikes….the mountains are beautiful. Our stay was relaxing and peaceful, but also with lots to do. Brian was five stars +. We will definitely be back!

The location on the water was the highlight of my stay, and the interior was extremely clean and everything looked brand new. In my opinion the bed was medium firm, but felt like a good, fairly new mattress. I brought my thin air mattress for backpacking just in case and ended up putting that on top and it was very comfortable, but I like beds that are quite soft.

The rental is situated right near a Christian camp with private residences with a 11pm curfew. Brian was very responsive. There is a lovely waking path and crepe restaurant on the lake we went to twice! We went to Frog-Level Brewery for dinner in Waynesville and it was a great atmosphere! Would definitely return!

It was so great that we could walk around the lake and go to the water to rent kayaks and paddle boards without having to get in the car. We actually e-biked to 2 different parks from our villa. There is also a leaf blower in the closet that worked wonderfully to clean all the sand off the 2 beach chairs and the cart. The rooms are located on separate ends with the kitchen and livingroom in the center which added even more privacy for our group. Best seafood restaurants we have found are Down Under and the Salty Pelican. We did not attempt to walk to the beach but chose to drive and use the pull off/parking spots based on neighbor’s recommendation . We always headed out by 9:30 so never had an issue with parking in those areas.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Brian’s on Lake Junaluska. Family of 7 and there was plenty of room for the kids . I loved that the kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes etc for cooking. Cozy and felt just like home . Thanks again .

This place is very cozy. All the beds are comfortable and the full three showers are really nice to have. We are five total and had plenty of space. The upgrades in the home make it so nice to stay here. The appliances are all new and the kitchen has all you need. We went skiing at Cataloochee and this home is only 20 minutes from there. The TV in the living room and upstairs were nice to have. The cleanliness of the place is top notch! I know a lot of people say it, but we would definitely stylist here again when we return to the area. This home will soon have 100+ 5 star reviews in no time. Brian is an awesome host and the place is well worth it.

This cabin is an absolute jewel. It’s been completely updated with all the modern amenities you could wish for, but still has the cozy, warm feeling you crave in a vacation spot. The kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked and have a very clean, modern appeal. The best part of this house is, there’s 2 primary bedrooms and en suite bathrooms. Perfect for families with children and friends wanting to spend time together. The 2 primary bedrooms are on different floors so your quiet time feels very private. Lake Junaluska is so beautiful and we visit often. Once you visit this area of Western North Carolina, you’ll fall in love with it, as we have. I highly recommend this cabin and can’t say enough about it. We’ll be back soon.
